World renowned US wine magazine Wine Advocate, founded by wine critic Robert Parker has bestowed some wonderful reviews on Kay Brothers wines, courtesy of chief wine writer Joe Czerwinski: “Kay Brothers impressive current line-up is headlined by the best Block 6 Shiraz I can recall tasting”

Having been a guest at Kay Brothers winery on one of his visits to Australia a few years ago, we were thrilled to hear Joe’s evaluation of our wines. A man who tastes wine from around the world, from the best wineries and winemakers imaginable makes his take on our humble winery all the more gratifying.

Some of the highlights in his recent reviews are as follows:

2018 Block 6 Shiraz “simply a terrific example of Block 6 Shiraz – perhaps the best I’ve had the privilege to taste” 97 points

2018 Hillside Shiraz “if I had to pick one Shiraz to epitomise McLaren Vale, Hillside Shiraz would be a strong contender” 94 points

2019 Griffon’s Key Grenache “The 2019 Griffon’s Key Grenache – basket-pressed and aged in well-seasoned oak puncheons – continues the winery’s recent tradition of excellence with this variety” 94 points

Such amazing international recognition has also prompted quite a few export orders, so if you’re keen to get your hands on some of the 2018 Block 6, buy now, and remember this amazing vintage is also available in Magnum.
